Has anyone ever tried wrapping a steering wheel in bicycle grip tape? I ride bikes and got pretty good at doing it. Seems like a good idea. What do some of you think? I mean yea its all subjective style wise, but do any of you think it'll be worse than an old slippery dirty wheel?

Just ordered a black Momo Prototipo. I was looking at a Montecarlo but the Prototipo was $20 cheaper.

I have seen lots of those but it went out of style in the 70s.

It was very sports car in the day, obviously its more track car than pimpin car.

                    had a 81 rx7 like that,

did you notice the z1 has the console pointed in the middle? same everything put pointed to the middle.

and the space above the ashtray is small.

                        momo MOD 78

Suits E30 very well imo. Looks better when you replace momo horn button with a bmw logo too.

uses the standard Nardi hub for the BMW e30 only, no quick release, extension installed...

In a airbag car I found both on a MOMO wheel and this wheel that I had to use 2 spacers from a non airbag e30 found behind the steering wheel on the column. It is #4 in this link : http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...47&hg=32&fg=30

You will have to put one on the column before the steering wheel then another on the column after the steering wheel is on. Then top it off with the washer and lock nut to mount steering wheel. I tried using washers but they made a lot of noise when turning the wheel.

so i need two #4 spacers?

                                SRS Question

So I would like to keep my air bag :firehop:(it saved my life once) (click my sig and look at pic #5).....
Do I have any options for other airbag wheels??
Or since I drive a 91 318 and it was pretty much near the begining of the SRS tech (I assume the tech has changed) am I SOL???
