    Products to use on Dash

What products do you use on your dash. I've heard that Armor All and other similar products are bad for them and will eventually promote cracking. Anything at the local auto parts store that is worth picking up?

I use viynlex. I like it, because its not slippery, and i dont *think* there is any silicone in it.

just soap and water. not too much soap tho. I hate it when i apply product to it and dust just sticks to it.

vinylex. Drown it on your first application.

              Armor All doesn't.

whatever you put on your dash will if you go from frequent treatments to no treatments at all. That's the key.

You can try to keep the dash supple by using Armor All or Vinylex, etc. It certainly makes the dash look better. The real enemy is temperature. As the dash expands and contracts it's bound to crack especially if not treated. Do your best to regulate in car temperature or direct sunlight. The dash in my 325 cracked overnight and when it's hot you can see the crack get narrower than when it's cold.

about the direct sunlight and heat issue...my car is garaged when at home and at school i've got it under a car cover. So I think i'm alright, i think i might pick up some vinylex sometime soon and give it a try.

Get a dash cover, its molded plastic. Or at least I would get a dash cover, I don't think the plastic will shrink and expand like the crap the dash is made of.

                          Sold it.
