If you carpet is really bad, remove it and go rent a Rug Doctor from Lowes/Home Dept. It did wonders on mine.

If it is just dirt, soda and other stains the Blue Coral stuff in a can works really well. I removed soda from my blue carpet. It foams up so the underside of the carpet does not get wet.

You want something that will REALLY WORK on any carpet? Try this stuff out, then report back... I've used this numerous times both in cars & @ home and it's the ONLY product that I will use for carpet cleaning anywhere...

FOLEX® Instant Carpet Spot Remover is a trusted brand for over 50 years and is known the best carpet stain remover.

You can buy it @ Home Depot and I think Lowes may have it too.

Trust me - it WORKS. Just spray your spots or soiled areas, let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, then go back, spray a little more, use a scrub brush to stir up the soiled area, then use whatever carpet cleaner or upholstery cleaner machine that you have to suck up the remnants.

        :)

I used Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner. They were a little expensive, but they did a great job and I think it was worth it!

If it is REALLY bad, take it to a spray bay car wash and take the pressure washer to it. Works amazingly well.

I've used this stuff a lot with good results:

I even use it in the house.

Would you suggest removing it from the car first ?

I figured that was kind of a given.

And if you think I'm joking about pressure washing it, I'm not. Josh and I (Janderson) did his carpet like this and we got the idea from Luke (StereoInstaller1). Came out great. Just have to let it dry for a few days.

If its really nasty heres what I did. Pull it out vacuum it, soak it in purple power and scotch carpet cleaner and scrub it with a bristle brush. Then pressure wash the hell out of it and let it dry. Took a carpet that was maybe a 3/10 to a 8.5/10

flash interior cleaner works pretty good. Some stains it just cant pull out though.

got baked on coca cola off a headliner really easily!

Thats what I used. Some Purple Power if you have grease or oil stains, then Blue Coral the entire carpet.

Hello guys just responding to this old thread. My car carpets looks dirty and dull and someone has recommended steam cleaning. What are your opinion guys? Is there any other way to clean them which is more effective and time saving.
