I did it just for you Farbin.

Also I do know how to turn them off, luckily.

haha. Any one got a pick of 2 spacer set-up?

I really need to take gf's airbag out before she hits something.

Danny you might need to take the black plastic part of the the airbag wheel that cancels the blinker and replace it with the one on your Mtech 1 wheel. IIRC that part on the airbag wheels is a bit longer than that same part on a non airbag wheel.

That is what I had to do and it worked like a champ for me when using those correct spacers I have pointed out numerous times in other threads.

            Part # 4 in this picture... http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...47&hg=32&fg=30

You should have to use one on the column before putting the Mtech wheel on and then put another on the column (2 total) before reusing the washer #3 and nut #2 to secure the wheel down.

Don't forget to take off the white plastic pin and spring located on the steering column before putting the non airbag wheel on as well.

            :)

I just my wheel in today. I put it on to see the gap and it is about 1/2". I have the 2 spacer setup... frankly, it's not bad, but I thought I was doing something wrong.

I am torn on not having the lock feature, but I guess I will get over it... I can take a pic tonight if there has not been one posted...

Heres my 2 spacer set up. One in the back of the wheel and one in front. The stalks are really close but I like it that way. This can also be fixed by replacing them with non srs stalks or just bending them back. Everything works, turn signal cancel, horn and wheel lock.

                  spacer>wheel>spacer>washer>nut

                  steering column clearance

                  turn stalk clearance

picture of the spacer before putting in the wheel. steering wheel lock is also engaged(make sure that's down before you install the wheel.

                  picture of the spacer

Anyone know a good way to remove junkyard ink? LoL

Thank you very much for the pictures.

Do your turn signals cancel? Any noises when turning the wheel?

There won't be if you do it as described above.

Yup they cancel once the wheel is straight and no it doesnt make any noise when turning.

Thanks for showing those pictures as I was trying to describe in past posts. I had just not gotten around to getting any pictures of my spacer setup with my Blackline wheel.

Since this is the steering wheel thread of the moment... has anyone bent their stalks for extra clearance?

If so, were you concerned with breaking anything?
