Where does THIS go?

I pulled the HVAC panel out and the instrument cluster, radio, glove box, ECU, etc, all out in one day..put everything in a box...I have these 2 screws left over (total n00bleness!!) and I have NO clue where they go.

can you guys help??

They look like the screws that mount the ashtray and cigarette lighter to the console, but I bet a ton of those screws are similar.

I dont think its those...those are black...I have those. These are much bigger...like #3 phillips tip big.


I think they were from the innards of the HVAC area. I just removed the HVAC panel to replace and left the controls in place.

Correct.

The ones you listed could be from the sides of the HVAC box, there are two plastic "guides" to feed the air to the back seat passengers on each side of the blower/heater box.

you mean the accordian thingies that tie slip into the channels on the floor? Those just popped in...I didnt notice any hardware except the 10mm plactic nuts they get tightened down with on the floor and transmission tunnel of the car.

I believe they hold the HVAC panel in place through the three air direction slide switches.

I have the HVAC panel back in the car...and 4 screws in the three slide area...


i will look into all of your suggestions and post back.

For the record: the steering columnn covers clasp together right at the base of the steering wheel.
