UUC RK3 and RK2 knobs.... opinions anyone?

TJ got me really curious in this knob...

Anyone have/had the UUC RK2 or RK3 knob? what do/did you think of it? if I was gonna get one, which would be the best bang for the buck?

    RK2 - brushed aluminum - $75
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 7.1oz

    RK2 - polished aluminum - $100
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 7.1oz

    RK2 - stainless steel - $125
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 20.4oz

    RK2 - Titanium - $210
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 11.7oz

    RK3 - brushed aluminum - $85
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 7.5oz

    RK3 - polished aluminum - $110
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 7.5oz

    RK3 - stainless steel - $135
    width: 2" (50.8mm) weight: 22.2oz

    here's a pic of the RK2...

    here's a pic of the RK3...

im leaning towards the stainless RK3, it is illuminated to match the BMW amber interior, here's a link http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/html%5F...Fknobs/RK3.htm

but it seems soooo expensive, can anyone tell me if the knob's feel justiffied the cost? thanks in advance...

The main selling point for the RK3 is that it's lighted. The shift pattern lights up w/your interior illumination.

I thought about getting one of the Magnum knobs, or an RK2. I may still do it. Either that or a Whalen Shift Machine.

I bet that RK3 stainless steel feels like heaven. Nice and heavy... mmm...

Whenever I get to doing my short shift, I'm going to either get the RK3 or the ///M knob. I'm still not sure which I want yet.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

the RK2 isnt illuminated, only the RK3. Im leaning towards the stainless becuase it is 3 times heavier than the alluminum and I just did a z4 ssk so I want something heavy to help with the shifting.

I've driven with the RK2, its a very nice knob. I think I am going to buy the RK3 though, although I really don't want illumination.

the illumination on the RK3 is so far, the ONLY one that I have liked. plus, you can always just not hook it up. I like the shape of the RK3 better than the RK2, so im pretty sure Im gonna go with the RK3 in stainless. Which RK2 did you use? alluminum or stainless? was it heavy? good for shifting?

I have the aluminium RK2 and I love it. I never realized how much a knob could change the enjoyment of driving.

Would you be able to touch the knob if the car has been sitting in the sun for a few hours?

do you think the stainless is gonna be worse than the alluminum? heat conduction wise?
