Aluminum conducts heat better than steel... but seriously... who cares if it's a bit warm? It's not like it'll get hot enough to burn your hand or anything.
UUC RK3 and RK2 knobs.... opinions anyone?

Since the rk3 is out of stock at UUC, would anyone buy from here?

I have an RK3 in my E36, and another RK3 in my E30. I love 'em. Brushed aluminum is very sexy - and it feels great, with the extra heft in your hand. I live in south Georgia, so it's hot and bright often - it can get hot if it's sitting uncovered in the sun, but it cools quickly once you get in the car and have the AC running or whatever. It's definitely a good choice.Comment

Buy a Whalen Shift Machine. Basically a spherical 18 oz stainless steel shift knob. Also has a quick disconnect feature so you can stow it on hot/cold days, and its pretty much impossible to accidently pop the knob off during a hard shift.
