lame cluster rings from ebay

^^ those are the ones I have always wanted but have never been able to find. They are more squared off as opposed to rounded. Do you remember who you got them from?

it's funny how tastes differ - I specifically wanted the "rounded" ones as opposed to the square ones.

I got mine from a guy here on r3v.

They are machined aluminum rings that just go in by pressure.

Mine were a little loose when I installed them, but just the large ones, the small ones snapped in really tight. To make the large ones stay in place, I just wrapped the backside of them in a few layers of electrical tape, and they went in nice and snug. But yes, mine are metal, also.

if they are loose then either glue or some tape around the edges to make them fit snugly should work. if you use glue be sure to do it from the back - if you get any on the face it will turn white and look like shit.

No, I had the cluster all apart when i installed them. The fuel and temp rings were tough as hell to snap in and almost impossible to snap back out.

The two big ones, though, were loose as soon as i snapped them in. It's almost like the diameter was off just that little bit.

did you put them in with the cluster entirely assembled? because I think I removed the gauges from mine. They were pretty snug when I snapped them in, I almost didn't think they would fit. Are you sure you pressed them in all the way, or are they just loosely in there?

just use superglue to hold them in place. That's what I did.

I've needed superglue like 10 times in the last six months and i still haven't bought any. I think today may be the day I buy a bottle.

Same ones. The problem was the little lip on the back, that snaps in to hold them, wasn't as pronounced on my set.

I thought about just wrapping one layer of masking tape all around the outside that clips in so that maybe they'll stay this time. Although, I did just buy another set.

they aren't really that shiny IRL, the flash makes them look pretty bright

The "better" metal ones I got on fleabay wouldn't stay snapped in the cluster. Everytime i went to go install the cluster, one of them always would pop out. Finally said f**k it and now use the big ones as bracelets on 80's night, and i used the other two as c**k rings.
