Mine were a little loose when I installed them, but just the large ones, the small ones snapped in really tight. To make the large ones stay in place, I just wrapped the backside of them in a few layers of electrical tape, and they went in nice and snug. But yes, mine are metal, also.

I got mine from a guy here on r3v.

They are machined aluminum rings that just go in by pressure.

^^ those are the ones I have always wanted but have never been able to find. They are more squared off as opposed to rounded. Do you remember who you got them from?

it's funny how tastes differ - I specifically wanted the "rounded" ones as opposed to the square ones.

The 1 I have looks the same in the pics you have posted. To make sure it will fit tight, i put an electric tape around the ring so it will be more tight. I have no issues so far.

They came today and here is what I got:

As you can see they are plastic and oddly shaped huge rings, which is different than the pic showed in the ad. Has anyone else ever dealt with these clowns? Where can I find a legit set of rings?

I have the ebay ones. I actually like the rounded look better as well. Like everyone else, the small rings went in great and the bigger ones were loose. I tried superglue, but it turned everything white as soon as winter came and the car got cold. Since then I have found that layering elmer's tacky glue on the backside works great and is invisible when installed.

Crap I got the same from the same vondor, they arrived on Friday. I'm guessing from the time he writes to me that he is in Hong Kong. He is asking me why am I dissatisfied. I showed him the difference from what he advertised and what he sent me. I'm going back and forth with him did he offer you a solution yet ?

I fought and Won, I had the fluted ones and wanted the rounded or more squared off. The vendor said they all come from the same manufacturer. Can't be as we see different ones out there. The guy would not return the money but after an ebay/paypal dispute I got my full money back including shipping!!!!

So who has aluminum ones to sell me or point me in the right direction.

Do you have a link to the ebay auction you won?

Unfortunately, I don't. I bought them quite awhile ago and the page no longer functions.
