    Expert M Leather

After hanging out with me for more than a quarter century and taking me around for over 320,000 miles, I decided to refresh my small bumper E30 by starting with the interior. I tried the full line at a local Recaro dealer and decided to go with the Expert M with its less aggressive seat bottom. Luckily the same dealer also had a pair of Recaro adaptors on hand!

When getting seats reupholstered is it possible to save the old fabric, given it is in good condition before coming off?

Installed yesterday. This is the final result of researching E30 seat options, deciding, changing my mind, and researching again. I'd like to try some LSs for the more aggressive bolstering at some point too.

Thanks for reply, good to know!

If I had $2400 to spend on putting these seats in an E30, I'd just buy these:

What a better place to be reminded about the Recaro mounting specs. 99% of seats going along these specs. The exception being seats made by Recaro especially for a car maker.

    Classic style

    Newer style

there is more than one generation LS...but that being said, an LS will fit a slim build much better than an oe sport seat..

the first and second gen LS I feel were the most aggressive re fit..and hard to find...and $$$$$$

but at 30" it will be hard to find a snug fitting seat.... go find a Recaro rallye from the 70s/80s..that u will LOOOOOVE

What better place than this thread to ask a simple question to people who have fitted Massive's Recaro adapters. Since the day I designed them I had that hitch to add some adjustability to them, simply because we all have different tastes/preferences when it comes to driving position. Currently, the adapters have a 4° rake to add comfort and lumbar support. If they were flat, the driving position would be awefull.

Now, I can modify the adapters to offer two adjustable positions. Current 4° rake would stay, and they could be adjusted for another 2°. Basically slightly raising your knees. Yup. Two mounting holes at the front.

Or is there really any need to modify the original design? Please let me know.
