If you can get some pics that would be helpful.

Found the five sided knobs are still available thru the dealer. Like $25 from BluntTech.

And I know Dave from Aardvark. Good guy, and helpful with info.

I have the first gen Recaro LS with the three nylon straps for bottom cushion support and felt like I sunk too low into the seat, and I'm not that heavy-only 185 lbs. The later 2nd and 3rd gen seats use a large square one piece rubber bladder which gives more support.

The cheap and easy fix is to get a piece of 11" X 14" Lexan .093 thick from Home Depot and slide it between the lower cushion and the straps. I rounded off the rear corners so it slid in easily, and if you have the pull-out thigh supports you'll just need to cut two slots in each one for the slides to clear.

May be even better with a slightly more flexible material, so I'm going to experiment, but it's a big improvement over the original strap supports.

I dug up a few 6-year-old photos of my OEM E30 Alpina Recaro LS-C

the bolster shape can be clearly seen here

the lifting mechanisms are quite similar to the E30 sport seat design.

some detail of the OEM webbing and seat rails

    album with full-size photos

I have a few yards of the repro Alpina fabric on the way, so a recover project will soon ensue. Anyone have a good source for LS-shape bolster and center foams?

How much would you guys expect to pay for a decent condition (no rips in fabric) Recaro LS-C?
I realize this is somewhat location dependent.
