For anyone in this thread looking to install Recaro seats in their E30, my brother in law and I make bracket adapter kits to mount them in the E30 using stock sliders.

Just picked these seats up from a friend.
They're actually Recaro's from an Evo8 that he previously had in his e36.
They already have sliders attached to them, all I need now are some e30 seat mounts/brackets.
Anyone have any recommendations?Comment

I found some seats that look like this http://forums.corral.net/photopost/s...hp?photo=51551 I found that link through a google search. The seats i found are sitting in an old mustang at the local salvage yard, I didnt see the Recaro logo on the seats but then again there was on a bunch of shit sitting on them. I was just wondering if any of you had any info on these seats? Like their name or what they might be worth now days.Comment

If you want to ditch the sliders that are on them currently, we can fab you up a set (both seats) of adapters to mount them to stock E30 seat sliders.Comment

This was my original plan but the sliders are actually part of the seat(i.e. they are tack welded on). I didn't know this to begin with. But since the seem to be on there for good, I think I'm just going to have someone local fab me up some brackets.Comment

I like this seat that we sell a lot. It's basically a modern production version of these Recaros.

is it possible to find a set of recaros that will hold a person as well as or better than e30 sports and are my-girlfriend-isn't-into-cars-comfortable for less than $350 that aren't torn or fadded?
looking for something really basic that is more about function than form and i'd prefer just black. i've been thinking of getting my current seats recovered, but i'm shopping around a bit.Last edited by learningcurve86; 06-09-2009, 04:00 AM.GregComment

Those aren't the same ones I have in my car. Those are the powered Recaros from a Corrado. The seat backs are made by Recaro, the lower parts are made by VW. The mounting brackets on those seats are part of the lower seat frame, and not removable, and cannot be installed in any car but a VW.Comment
