I'd put the interior above the exterior and performance, depending on the purpose of the vehicle. I'm speaking from a street car's perspective.

Think of it in terms of a house...

It's your car man, does it matter what we're into? If you're into performance, great. If you're into exterior, dandy.

important as in... a seriously important way to improve the performance of your vehicle through methodical removal of unnecessary fluff?

Well, seeing as I spend the majority of my time in contact with the interior of my car as opposed to any other surface of it, I'd say that it's important to me, yes.

I kind of like the whole package. The int. must look as good as the ext.

Ok, it did make me chuckle a little in all honesty.

exactly, a ragged out interior makes a great paint job look worse, and a bad paint job makes a great interior look bad

Sometimes my exterior can look like deep-fried ass (as far as being dirty) for a while before I'll get nuts about it and wash it, but if my interior is messy, I'm miserable. People are always shocked at how clean my interior is. My carpet is always vacuumed, and I always have protectant on my dash and the leather bits.

Interior matters more to me. I prob changed about 95% of it since I got my car. Every time I'm at the pick ur part and I see a part nicer/cleaner than mine I swap it.
