Sorry to bump the old thread, but I didn't think these two questions were worth starting a new one:
1st: If one already uses an E36 (or E46) steering-rack, is there a way to implant the remaining steering-system to let you use, say, the wheel from a Z3?
2nd: Coming from the Mazda- and Volkswagen-Scene, I've seen a few wheels being modified.
Carbon inserts, flattened bottom on formerly round steering wheels, 12 'o clock marker.
I've seen the latter, but has anyone ever one one of the first two?

Snapped this up on eBay for my E30:

I'm hoping it looks okay in the interior...
It's called a Momo Cobra. Looks identical to the factory Momo that came in early JDM Miatas, i.e. Eunos Roadsters.Leave a comment:

Keep this alive as a resource:
Early ACS steering wheel:

And finally the back of the prallschutz/cover:

Here are the photos to further document this being an ACS wheel:

Go find a non-airbag car and swap the control stalks off that car with yours.Leave a comment:

M Tech II hands close to switches
Installed my MTech II wheel the other day. I didn't realize my hands would sit so much closer to the turn signal, wiper blades, and cruise control switch. I've read about bending them but that sounds kind of sketchy. Are there any fixes for this problem? If bending is the only solution, what is the best way to do that?Last edited by MT3CH; 05-07-2014, 04:17 PM.Leave a comment:

I want your steering wheel. I don't think I'll ever run anything but Nardis again.Leave a comment:

Thread bump!
Which momo adapter do the 91 airbag columns use? the e36 unit or the e30 unit? I'm guessing the former.Leave a comment:
