Interior idea. Want opinions before I forget it.

Before I get too caught up in school, i wanted to see what people thought about the idea I had.

Well, my driver seat is a little iffy, i will need to repair it or replace it. The seat angle cable seems to be loose, or not locking properly which is trouble as sometimes the seat back will shift during driving.

I hope to get the suspension bushings, etc. worked out after school is out, and down the road I always wanted some aftermarket seats. I like SRD's, but also corbeau CR-1's (as they are cheaper)

I was thinking I could remove all of my black leather interior (and fix the driver's seat) and then sell all that off to help cover the costs of the aftermarket seats.

Then I would want either grey cloth or the like door panels to match the Corbeau's. And I would cover the back seat area with either paint, or duct tape.....or just leave it exposed.

I was thinking of taking out the carpet and putting in black, and hopefully a black headliner, but then I realized my car isn't really something I aim to make into a real sexy street car, but eventually more of a purposeful track rat.

So as I removed the door panels, rear seat, and fronts, I would remove all the sound deadening and crap, and tar from the trunk.

I am guessing I am asking if all this sounds like a neat idea, or not. A black interior being changed over to grey door panels and grey Corbeau seats while trying to drop all the sound deadening weight.

I know people will likely say just keep the rear seat in there, and I may, for a while, but the rear leg room is suck ass, and I do aim to make this car a track rat, while simply pullling double duty in the time until I can get a 2nd ride.

why not get black aftermarket seats to match your interior already?

also i don't know about you but i sat in CR-1's and felt too fat, the SRD's on the other hand are perfect.

Red on gray has always been my favorite, except for black on gray.

I would just get black aftermarkets, if you want a track rat that is.

Just worry about it later when the time comes...

There were no black E30 carpets btw, only way to get black is to go aftermarket.

Yeah, just something that came to me, and wanted to bounce it off. The main part of the idea would be to sell the interior completely together, but i could just sell the seats, and get black.

I was referring to something like Lukas where he swapped the carpet for black. But with the noises my car makes, and etc. It's making me want to push this towards rat, and get a cushier DD.

i think those seats are comfy.... i drive in them every day and i got them for ~$450..... with brackets/sliders and one harness..... but i kinda got a screamind deal.

i am 5'10" and weight about 150..... most of my friends think they are pretty comfy, except for the larger ones, and my girlfriend doesnt like them (she is too short, so the side bolsters push on her shoulders... she is like 5'3" and about 100

damn mate, she is a spinner ;)

i'm not large i don't think, but weight ~180 so many some more bigger seats will be needed.

youre idea sounds cool, but i say just get black aftermarket seats and leave everything else black like it is.
thats kind of what im doing, a mix on colors, but im doing it sort of different, i have an e30 pickup that i made and it had black interior, bu i have red sport seats(its only a 2 seater) and red door panels with black handles, the stock dark gray carpet, and imputting the new stlye head liner in, with the foam and fiber board etc. its going to be a dark gray that matches the carpet.

                    ah Jer, i'm drunk
CR1s are shitty seats and are the gay
                    SRD/speed seats are the shit
                    Speed>CR1
I'd rather have a driver's speed seat than two fucking CR1s
                    fuck the passenger
