    EDIT: Damn, all i have:
I've got the same one and it's weight and feel is great. However, it sucks during the summer as it turns into a ball of hot magma.

what's with all the "slamming" into gear?
you don't have to be a gorilla to drive fast. You can just as quickly set it in gear without applying an additional 50 lb shock load to the shift components.

Light, quick hands on the shifter and the wheel.

I like the look of the E46 shifter. I went with a short wooden mushroom knob for the classic look but I'm really not a fan of the feel. I'd prefer a spherical shift knob.

          +1

I'm no schumacher, but i've always found that people that need to slam it into gear generally suck at driving and tend to break things.

didn't tenacious D make a song about this?

The euro stock knob works well. Was a lot tighter and feels good on the hand.

I have the ZHP as well. Best OEM knob in my opinion.

E30 M3 knob (also known as the doorknob knob,) preferably the single-piece version.

yeah, its probably because its a UUC with a proper throw, vs just hacking off the top.

if you would just buy a new bmw knob-- and not blame the almost 20 year old knob with broken clips- it would'nt come off anymore.
and yes, the ZHP is nice in the wifes car, but I really prefer my 1 piece with boot orig light up one in the M3
my gangster ghetto wood Alpina knob is pretty sweet too-- never came off yet.
and wow ben, that thing really looks like a dildo- reminds me of that porn/short flick of that girl swallowing the 3000GT shifter.
