    My Recaro SRD install

Didn't want to spend the big bucks on some after market brackets/sliders. so I made my own brackets to adapt to stock sliders. Have about 3k miles seat time on them with no issues.

    Laser cut 14ga S/S

    Brackets mounted

    One slider attached

    Both attached

You didn't even clean the stock sliders first ? ? ?

j/k man, nice install. I can't believe they still use the same seat support webbing under the cushion as they were 20 years ago.

The things I could make if I had access to a laser cutter...

Looks great. Nice choice going with the stainless, no need to paint.

Very clean looking but, a little too thin for my tastes. Did you check to see how strong those brackets are compared to stock?

Does the seat sit lower then the stock IS seat? I'm looking into buying jdm integra recaro seats and mount them into my e30.

the 14ga is fairly strong. Should I make another set I'll jump up to 12ga or 10ga

they sit about 1/4" lower than a stock iS seat.
