    Ellipsoid to H4

The ellipsoids on my car are not good, even with new bulbs. The high beams are really bright, though. I know the conversion from sealed beam to H4 is straightforward, but what about ellipsoid to H4? Do they go right in to my existing low beam assembly? Thanks.

No, you need sealed beam buckets and you need to convert the wiring over. There's another thread where someone installed new clear lenses over their ellipsoids and is in love with the lights. You may want to give this a try or get some newer ellipsoids with less lense pitting.
