91 318is fog lights

Hello everyone I am new to the E30 world, but have wanted one for a long time. So I bought a 91 and it came with some aftermarket fog lights. I do have wires hanging where the lights would go but no power to the wires. Inside I have a blank plate under the fog light indicator. I added two 7.5 fuses to slots 29,30 and a relay in R8. But still no power with lights on and key turned on. My question is how do these front fog lights work? Should there be a button? If so what does it get hooked up to? Or do the fog lights come on with the head lights only? Once I figure out the switch or no switch I will double check that relay. Any help would be appreciated.

Under that indicator is where your foglight switch goes. Looks like you need to get a switch. Do you have the build sheet for this car to see if fog lights came with it from factory. If not, you will need to do one more thing. Let me know as I just did this a few months ago.

Thanks for the response, no I don’t have any documentation for this car. I did pick up a fog light button like this, it has a plug on the back and two wires coming out of it.

The wires found were wrapped around the opening for the fog lights, so I’m pretty sure that’s what that’s are for.
