MHW Smoked tails?

I've noticed that the 84-87 style are pure hotness (See Jordans ride) yet the 89-91 style seem very different is style.

The 84-87 look like the stock colors are sunken in behind smoked glass while the 89-91 lights seems to just have a small tint to them. Any reason for this?

I would love to have some smoked tails but only if they are the more elegant style (again see Jordans ride). The 89-91 can easily be duplicated with spray paint.

Mike, got any better pics of the 89-91? Maybe I'm missing something?

spray tinting always looks like shit IMO. although i prefer the earlier style, the later style is worlds better then spray tinting, and does look good.

The early style does have the colors separated from the plastic lense. The turn signal had a yellow capsule over the bulb and the red brake light lense is between the bulb and outer lense.
