    Smoked side markers...

Ive seen a couple of beemers on the forums that have smoke colored side markers, can those be bought or is there an alternative like painting them with glass paint or whatever?

i used window tint on my sidemarkers and turn signals, and it came out perfect. the winter has made them look horrible, but i'll just re-apply in the spring. its really cheap and gave me the perfect look i wanted.

What I did on mine was used that old article to make clear side markers using a clear reflector. Then I removed the bulbs in the side markers, and spray painted the INSIDE of the new clear lenses solid black. This way, it won't chip or fade, and it still have a very nice glossy OEM look. You pretty much can't see them anymore though, they blend in very nicely.

After one winter and into the second now, my Lamin-x hasn't moved/faded at all. I'd suggest using it as a more permanent solution.
