There are 2 bulbs in the cluster that have an orange cover. Are these the ones you need to change?

5w bulbs at 100% power will melt the plastic housing around them. Keep that in mind.

I run 5w bulbs in mine, but i turn them down so the cluster is brighter then the rest of the car.

I'm pretty sure they sell LED bulbs that will fit. I buy my LED bulbs from superlumination just because I don't know anyone else and they are really helpful and easy to work with. I think all instrument bulbs are 2721 if I'm not mistaken. I thought about trying this, but I kind of like the low glow of the cluster.

Someone could try to buy colored bulbs and when those hit the orange plastic of the cluster it could make for an interesting result.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

I wanna slap a set of indiglo faces in there. Already removed the orange plastic so the different colored lights don“t interfere with each other.

I picked up new 3W's at Pep Boys. They have 5W's as well. At least they're good for something.

I actually took the orange covers off of mine just to see what it would look like, and then added 5w bulbs. Nothing had melted, but it does get pretty warm.
