LED taillights for early e30's

I'm planning on converting the tails on my 1990 325i convertible to LED's. I want to have the new celis strips but also trying to keep the original design as much as i can so i need the opinion of the community. I created a few pics with photoshop (i don't know how to insert pics so i just give you links):

i will do the reverse light and the signal as well.
i feel lik the brake lights are too small if i keep them the original way but making them bigger changes the look too much. i'm also thinking about putting leds between the celis rods so basically it will look like the original if the parking lights are not on.
so let me know what you think! every thought is well appreciated!

the parking lights will be celis lights. same design what you see on newer bmw's like the e92. it's basically an acrylic rod with led's on both ends lighting it up. it's not bright enough to use it as brake light for example but maybe if you put the led's behind the rod it could work.

these are photoshop pictures only. i haven't ordered the led's yet but they will come from superbrightleds.com for sure.
i'm planning on doing this but first i have to make up my mind on the exact design. and also i need to find spare taillights for the project cuz it will take a while...
