My right 5k HID elip is going off and on, i mess with the snap plug on the ballast and SOMETIMES that helps. Any ideas on how to fix this? this is my first e30 so please bear with me.

Check all connection points.
Unplug and replug, just keep messing with it.
Check for bad wires.

If you didn't modify your wiring, you might wanna swap the stock bulb back in (yeah, I know, they suck) or swap components side to side to see where the issue is.

Best trouble shooting I've done with my HID's when a new ballast went tits up. Rules out the light etc.
Are the US or Euro spec ellipsoids? Often times where the bulb itself sits can have some issues. Corrosion, bad contacts, not sealed properly, etc. Check side to side and then check the inside of the housing.Need a part? PM me.
