Hella Smiley doesn't light, Bosch does?

I just installed the Smiley I got from Kyle and all is well BUT it is a Bosch and my other is a Hella. My old Hella, the smiley does not light up the new Bosch it does. I am going to put the other Bosch in because I hate when things aren't right but it makes me wonder is this normal? should one light but not the other?

Exactly. The Hella only the middle, projector illuminates. The Bosch also the smile illuminates.

It should light up on both, I don't see much difference in both on my cars, (I've a set Hella and BOSCH)

maybe you've a non smilley reflector in your Hella's wich can create that black spot
