The main beam is more focused on the euros, its narrower. However light bleeds out the sides, its noticeable with the HIDs. Id have to see US ones with HIDs but I wouldnt think theyd be too different on the ground. My Euros have the same exact pattern on the ground as the 330 (well, the NEW 330) the only difference is the cutoff and the 330 steers around corners and shit.
    Im now E30less.

I vote for US ellips + hids.

Here are mine, before I made the cut-off flat, cleaned and smoked my us ellips with 6000k HIDs.

Not mine, same pattern with just the low beams on with the vehicle going straight. The going around corners is pretty sweet but unless you really look for it its nearly impossible to notice.

I rode in m42tecknik's smoked hella equipped car at night and was not too impressed by the low beams (granted they need adjusted). I'm running 55 watt 9005's in my low beam (eurolite for bling factor) and they are great for night driving. I vote US ellips. I've adjusted the lights just a tad higher since the car is raked a little, but I've never had anyone flash high beams at me with these.

I finally installed the other US ellips and very much enjoy US 9005'ed lighting. I prefer it.

Now if only my passenger low beam would stop falling down.....

But the light output is great.

It is a Mcullough (sp?) 5000K H1 hid kit. I still haven't installed them as I'm still waiting for replacement adjusters and other smiley parts to arrive.

There is this one seller on eBay that sells 1 kit at a time and has pretty poor advertising. They typically go for under $160 from this guy.
