Is there a way to wire the city light so that it is always on?
My side markers aren't on all the time also, they only come on when I have the knob pulled without the headlights on. But when it is pulled, my tail lights are on also. Any ideas?

mine are wired like DRL. 12v switched.

That's how I had mine wired on the Eta, on whenever the car is on. I STILL have to wire this car's.

And of course the reason your sidemarkers and tail lights come on when you pull the knob one click is because those are your parking lights

Use a multimeter to find any 12v switched power lead in the engine bay, splice the lights into that source, and you are all set.

it's not that much work to just pull the knob half way. but I guess it makes sense so you never forget to turn the lights off (I know i pulled out that fucking door gong first thing with each e30 I've had). I thought about it, maybe some day.
