Weird HID issue - strobe lights!

I just had mine wired up wrong. Works great now.

^^bumping this to the top... i just installed my hid's, it doesnt strobe, but when i first turn the lights on, the drivers side doesnt turn on and i get a warning light in check panel. if i turn the lights off and turn them on again it works perfectly, but warning is still there...

i currently only have the low beam hid's hooked up if that makes a difference. car is a '88 m3

Same problem for me right now, but it's my passenger side, and I don't get warning lights because I don't have a check panel xD

mine does the whole start to warm up thing then gives up haha i think its because i broke the conduit (thats spelled wrong) around the top wire haha

Sounds like the HID is trying to find a ground through the H1s. Both H1s combined make an "okay" ground for one ballast, but not both.

Make up a temporary separate ground for the ballast to check, and verify the brown wires at least have basic continuity to ground.
