alright i know ima n00b, i bought DEPOS, which people say are bad, but whatever im gonna try them myself. They look the exact same as the ones in the pictures up there^^. Anyways, How do i take off the cap on the back of the low beam and the high beam? do they screw off or just pull off?i just dont want to do anything and break anything And i see you drilled a hole in your cap, why is that. Is that only because you have HIDs? do you have to do that for HIDs? one more thing, each set(low and highbeam assembly) came with a little piece that i have no clue what it is. im gonna describe it as this: a long gold rod with threads, identical to the gold bolts that go from the black metal around the actual headlight through the bracket. On one end it has a littlke black cap thing that can swivel, the other end has a plastic bolt kinda thing thats white/cream, and in the middle is another bolt sort of thing, its black and has a little rubber gasket on it. WHAT IS THIS PIECE. please help im clueless :(
How to wire your new Smileys

The cap will unscrew, it's really tight though. Put some force into it. The hole in the back of the cap allows the bulb to fit with the wiring coming out of the backside (the HID kit from DDM has a suction cup type thing that will seal the hole up)
Those rods might be the adjusters, pics would help.Comment

after, installing hids require drilling into the cap. itll make it a lot easier if you did drilling and installed the bulb and all then installed it and hooked up everything once in.

How often do you flash your highs?Comment

thanks, that helped ALOT. I flash my highs all the time, when I see someone I know, or something. So is it that bad to flicker HIDs? Either way I will be doing the relay jump so the lows and highs stay on together, but the only option is wether or not I put HIDs in the highbeams. I was thihnking of just putting in normal halogen bulbs, but the highest quality bulbs I can find so they are more white than normal. Would it look stupid with HID lows and non HID highs? or do you think I could pull it off?Comment

what I was asking before was, about the gold rod thing that I dunno what it is, Here in this picture is what im talking about

ONE MORE QUESTION I SWEAR. I feel like the suction cup lookin thing that seals thehole that you drill in the cap is crucial. So i dont want to buy a kit without that. Do all kits have that?? I found this kit for about 40 bucks, just want to OK this with you so I know this will be a good setup.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Xenon...mZ300412733308
If not, are these ones any better?

That rod in the picture is one of the adjusters I think.
I have 5000k low beams and 6000k high beams. The HID kit I got was from DDM tuning. I got the raptor kit: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit
The ballast is the 55w.
55w provides more light, here is a comparison picture (2004 m3 IIRC)
