Very, very hard to find a bulb that makes a truly yellow beam (think Lexus GS/IS) without getting way too hot, hence why most of the good companies (Osram, Phillips, et al) don't make super-yellow ones. I remember giving up on that idea a while back.

PIAA makes yellow ion 'tuner' bulbs, but I am unsure of their quality.

The problem I have with those is their rating is 55w = 85w. I don't even know what that's supposed to mean.

They are probably saying their 55 watters have the same output as an 85 watt bulb. It's a gimmick of course.

I got some yellow bulbs that Im trying out right now. 9006s, made by Nokya, some asian company. They are allright for what they are, trying to still decide if I like the yellow headlight style, if I keep it im gonna need to do my fogs as well.

Hella Yellow Stars are some of the better bulbs i've seen.

                  http://www.rallylights.com/hella/H3.asp scroll down for the 55w H3

(never bought from this company, just turned up on a search)
