    Headlight problem

Yeah, I know this should be in lighting, but I need exposure. My pass side lights go out when I flip to highs. Works on low, but on high beam, both the low and the high go off. What gives?

The high beam filament in your outboard lamp is probably gone. They're wired in series, so if that one goes, both go.

I will check it out, but they should be good. These bulbs aren't even a year old. Thanks.

In that case, check fuse #2.

BTW, you have H4's right? Did you upgrade the lighting fuses to 10A yet? The stock 7.5A ones don't like H4 assemblies much.

Yes, they are H4s. I haven't upgraded the fuses as it was done before I bought the car. I assume they were right, because this is a new problem and I've had the car since Nov. last year.

No, I didn't touch the bulb. Very very careful about that. These bulbs have been in for about 4mos or so? I just noticed this last night so I don't know what's up. When I have time I will check the low.

              Thanks guys.

What kind of example is it when the mods don't even follow their own rules?

Not really, you let it get the exposure you wanted then you moved it, just like when non-mods do it.

Is it my fault the forum has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many topic/subtopic/forums? I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut. It ain't my world.

My car ran H4's for about 6 years before it wouldn't work with the stock amperage fuses. It was strange, just started blowing them consistently out of nowhere. Put 10A ones in (as recommended on the forum), and it's been fine since.

It was fuse #2 blown. And yes, they are 10amp. Don't know why, but it was. Thanks for all the help.
