driver side low beam only works when hi-beams are on.

driving with the high beams on is a douchebag move, and is also more likely to get you pulled over than having a light out.

Its just the low beam filament as stated. Buy a replacement, and all will be well.

The main (low beam, outer light) light has two filaments in it, one for high, one for low.

I would wait for an expert on this but, I believe your low beam filament burnt out.
The high beam filament in your "outer/low beam bulb" still works but not your low.

Also it can't hurt to check your fuses. Left and right bulbs are on different fuses.

so my low beam just went out on my drivers side. and i figured, okay ill just replace it. then tonight. i was driving with my highs on so i don't get pulled over, and noticed in the reflection of a suburban that the low was on too!


it shows the low beam check light on the panel when i turn on the headlights but if i engage the high-beams before actually turning the lights on the panel doesn't show the light until i turn the high-beams off..

the drivers side low beam only works when the high beam is on for some reason... anybody know why?! what can i do to fix it?
