What you think r3v, Smoked taillights

Well I traded a set of stock tails to a friend for these smoked tails. I believe there painted with vht nightshade. Well I started with a rubbing compound then a few stages of polish then finally waxed. The pictures make them look much darker but they turned out much better then I expcted.

Btw my smilies are smoked along with my turn markers. No i did not paint my headlights with nightshade. Crosshairs man.

I just stripped the tint off mine and repainted them candy red. I like the red look better now, but the tint was getting me too many tickets.

I think half that would be a perfect smoke. It does look nice though, as I see a lot of lights that look like they were done with gloss black.

I like it. I would do mine similar if it didn't live in Kalifornia, but everyone I know that has smoked their tails out here has gotten a ticket for it within a couple weeks.

I want to paint them all red then do a lower level of tint. I dont want them super dark just smoked a little like everything else of my car. I didnt paint these originally just polished what i had.

Well, by those pix, they are too dark for my taste.

                          Looks good

I'd tint the reverse lights slightly less than the rest. However, the areas above & below the reverse lights, I'd go darker. Similar to the MHW tails.

I haven't got a pic on the car yet, but here are mine. I had my paint guy do them- Went over the reverse and ambers with a candy red, then lightly smoked the whole thing.

I would like them to be a little more red, but they're sexy. My only other minor issue with them is that the reverse lights are a tad dim now.

I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.
