    3rd brake light

    What year did bmw move the 3rd brake light to below the rear deck?

    88 545is, k27 Turbo, TCD Turbo Chip, 30lbs Injectors, b35 cam, Aftermarket Intercooler, Custom 3" to Dual 2.5" Exhaust, HRs/Sports, BBK, SS Lines, 18" Staggered Alpinas, 235/40-265/35 Falkens, S2.93.

    IIRC, it was in 89.

      Correct.

      86-88 had the old style and 89+ had the more "flush" looking style.

        Someone changed my 87 over to the newer style. Kind of glad. I dont like 3ed brake lights in the first place, but it looked so much better then the 3rd eye just sticking up back there.

          Mine is an 85, no third for me.
