    Early spoiler mounted foglights?

I feel as if my first post should not be a question, but I have searched far and wide for an answer to this and I just really can't seem to turn up relevant information... unfortunately I'm not the strongest Google user.
Anyway, I have a 7/87 325is with the early style front valence with the rectangular foglights- as I understand, in September of that year this was changed to the later style valence with the rounded looking foglights.
However, when I bought my faded Bronzit-beige E30, the foglights were already gone, absolutely no where to be found, though the PO had plenty of other spare parts. The holes are sitting there really longing to be filled, but I really can't seem to find the proper replacement lights.
I only ever get two results- either the later style spoiler mounted lights or the early bumper mounted lights. Even realOEM tells me my car should have the later style fog lights which clearly would not fit.
I've only been able to find foglights that are clearly for my car on Pelican Parts, but even there they're no longer available. I did get to see, however, from their stock photo, that they do seem to be different from the rectangular bumper mounted lights, beside that their mounts are different (obviously), the spoiler mounted lights seem to have a little more plastic... and I believe they have holes in the corners for the pins to go through.

Basically... as anyone been able to find replacement foglights for their early style spoiler? Is it possible to find new ones, or will I have to find a couple used somewhere?

Don't mean to have to be walked throug stuff, but I don't see the parts you're describing on either site. Mind linking me to what you got?
Also, GutenParts doesn't have the early model lights :/

This is what the spot looks like

          (sorry for the size)

This is what I need- out of stock at Pelican Parts

This is the early style lights that are bumper mounted on early non-s cars. Note the differences in the plastic that surrounds the lense

And the late style spoiler mounted lamp that obviously won't even begin to fit.

These Fog lights are hard to find. I know that they came on 325es, 325is, and some e24's that have an air dam. You could also find some on ebay. They show up every once in a while. I just saw a set on ebay about a week ago for 60$, they still might be up for auction.

I have 2 pairs of the spoiler mount Hella's tucked away. Vanya...keep in mind that there were 2 type of bumper mounted fogs. The early type 84-85 Hella (same lens as later spoiler fogs) and the later type 86-87 Bosch (in your 2nd picture) which is why they look different, it's not just the housing. IF you find an 84-85 with fogs you can use the lens itself and swap in your spoiler mount housings. E28 and early E24's also used spoiler mount Hella's.
