    Smoked Hella need Help!

Just received a pair of Smoked Euro Smileys made by Hella shipped from Germany, and our lovely USPS destroyed the box and damaged the content by smashing the low-beam and breaking the adjuster on the bucket(it was in transit between the Eastcoast to the PNW then to Texas to Illinois to PNW then to SoCal for a total of 24 days)

I have filed a complaint through ebay, PP and USPS.

In the meantime im looking for Hella part number 139.802-011. That is for the right bucket with lens assembly. Hella USA wasnt able to help.

I will even take the lens if anyone has a Euro version with the clear bubble type non reflective city light. Part # 001-135939-03

Let me know what you can do or what parts you have that can help.

    Thanks!

I sold off all of my smoked lenses. I have a set but won't separate or sell them...sorry. What I would do is get the glass from a regular hella light. The city light won't match the other side but it would be the cheapest alternative. Otherwise you have to buy the entire smoked lowbeam somewhere. There's also the DEPO's.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm wondering what you ended up doing OP? My passenger side Smoked Hella just cracked. Don't know if a rock hit it or what but don't feel like spending another $400-500 to replace 'em.

              Thanks for any info.

My only options were to either eat the loss or dispute through paypal/ebay. I resorted to the latter after contacting Hella and sitting on ebay Germany and bidding on full sets with no luck. There were a couple of random auctions with bnib lowbeams or just the glass but the costs were not worth it. I actually thought about just paying outa my pocked to slavage the set, but then it was the senders fault for not packing them correctly.
The lenses with the round bubble are rare and hard to find because they are the older smoked style. The e34 smoked Hellas have the same lens but I didnt wanna buy those and butcher them just for the glass. I just got my money back and went the Depo route.

Part them out and get the knockoffs for a fraction of the cost of the originals.

That's very tempting but I've had nothing but bad luck w/ those Depo lenses in the past. I may go the route someone suggested and get a film protector to cover the lenses. Thanks for the response.
