I'm looking at getting HID kit for my e30 as the standard lights aren't that great what do you guys think of this and is there anything better?

    Stay away from eBay garbage.

Got mine from the retro fit source and never looked back. Quick warmup, no buzzing, looks great, works great and use their can bus kit (think that's what it's called) and its a plug and play deal basically. But be prepared to spend 150$ or so. Your choice, buy cheap now and you'll just spend more down the road.

you don't need the bus kit or relay kit. the E30 check panel isn't that sensitive, it will work fine with the standalone version.
