Why are they called 'French'? Are they common there? Were they first used there?

or maybe E30s weren't popular in france? most of the pictures I've seen from france have a lot of really small ugly cars that are good for crowded cities, not cars like the E30 (which is pretty big for a euro car). Plus BMWs are undoubtedly expensive there, a lot of people don't even own a car to begin with.

wtf andre?
a lot (which doesn't mean all) of people in europe don't own cars. this is not opinion!! Ask anyone who has lived there. it has nothing to do with my opinion of france (how the hell would you know what my opinion is anyway?). It's simple, a lot of people don't need a car there. In germany for instance, a license is expensive, so is insurance, gas, everything. Plus europe is crowded, why the heck do you think most people tool around in those tiny little cars? There's not room for everyone to have 3-4 cars per family like the usa (which I'm not saying, nor did I say, was superior for that reason).
I never said france was a gay country. man, lay down the crack pipe!
