LED license plate light conversion without errors?

i recently purchased some cheap led license plate lights off ebay, and installed them relatively easy. they look awesome, but now the check panel lights up because of what i'm assuming is a deviance from the reference voltage. is there any way to bypass this without unplugging, tape, or other cheap fixes? thanks!

you get errors because of this reason:

there's a place that makes LED light conversions but they aren't cheap. they should also work..
