That does look really good ken. Are they behind the lenses? I find that the ones that sit in front look fine in the dark and from far away but up close in the daylight they look really bad.Comment

I bought the rings off of ebay. Drilled holes in them. Then put 10000mcd LEDs into them. Used a ton of solder and shrink wrap (mostly white wire and clear shrink wrap.) I all of the LEDs on each side in parallel. I also tapped them into the parking lights so that they blink when my alarm is armed/disarmed.
It was pretty hard to get the lights open... but 375 in the oven for 15 minutes and a putty-knife did the trick.
You can hardly even tell that I have them in there. Look at the other pics of my car.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

I don't dig the LEDs. I like the stock angel eye look, which can only come from halogen bulbs.
I'm going to get a set of Nick's, and stick them under the lenses.

Your install looks better than Nick's, but I am going to have to call rice. You have neon-blue angel eyes on an otherwise stock, bronzit, 100hp 20 year old car. I can't get down with it.Originally posted by kencopperwheatHere are mine. The headlights are really dirty so they're a bit blurry.

It's the Use of LEDs vs Halogen bulbs, or cold-cathode tubes. My mountains are better than yours.Comment

See, the pics i've taken make the rings look unevenly lit. I can't take a pic of the angel eyes that will accurately show what they look like in person. However, they are evenly lit.
If you plan on doing them inside the lenses, get euros. US ellips will never work, and there is so much drilling and whatnot, i just found my method easier.
I prefer the stock look. Also, the only time they look too big are in pics, and when they are next to newer BMWs that use smaller rings.
Kris, if you plan on doing them inside the lesnes, let me know, i'll be making custom rings for you for sure. ;) ;) ;)
Thanks for the plug Rob. I'll catch ya back on eurotek...Nick

Yeah, they do look a little blue. Which is from the LEDs as Kris pointed out earlier. It probably has to do with them going through the plastic too. They're white LEDs. If I had $150+ to throw down, I would have gone with a halogen system. But mine were only about $50 to build, which included everything.Originally posted by DigitalwaveYour install looks better than Nick's, but I am going to have to call rice.
