Red car: All red vs. Smoked tails?

I'm just curious on what looks better on a red car. My color is Zinno. Tint looks good, as my car is going to carry a red/black theme, and I have a Euro plate filler that would complete the look. Reference matt325is for tinted tails and a euro filler, very choice. :D

But smoked seemed to be illegal for some peps, as matt mentioned him getting warned about them. All red are cool, but I'm not a huge fan of red blinkers. Sure it's legal, but it's just not as easily noticiable. (I redded out my tails on my G20 - looked amazing, and even though you could see them, it was harder to see than amber). I can DIY, but am wondering if smoked would be legal. And I don't have the funds to buy aftermarket ones.

Also, and thoughts on driving school? Auto-X events? I might not be able to......who knows, just another point to ponder......

    Testors Rulez tho :P

Either. I would lean to red because I think lights on a car are a nessecary evil that should be hidden on the car.
    Im now E30less.

i like the all red taillights on e30's but i don't think i've seen a red e30 with red tail lights. I've done photoshops but can't tell if it would look good/better. Anyone got a real pic of a red e30 with red taillights?

I don't think Matt will mind, I jacked this pic from his member ride's thread. I believe he redded his, then smoked.

Here is a pic of smoked tails on a red E30.

might just be too much red for me, i really can't decide. I wouldn't be doing it til summer time anyway so i've got awhile to decide.

                  That's what I was thinking.....just a sea of red.

Word. Summer is a tight time for projects. :P

Too much red is a bad thing, break it up with some contrast. Contrast adds depth so it doesn't just look 2 dimensional.

I think smoked tails are like smoked headlights. You can either have smoked headlights and a chrome kidney, or a black kidney with clear lights. Not both.

You can either have a black Euro plate filler and red lights, or smoked lights with no plate filler.

I can understand the logic, you don't want to over do the effect.

However, too much red isn't good either. I'm pretty sure there was a red E30 with all-reds on your tech section on this topic, by chance have a copy?

Anyway, here's E30Adam's which shows the awesomeness of all-red plus euro plater filler! 8)
