Headlight question. E30 year interchange.

Looking at these and seen that the description said after 87. My car is an 86 325es. Looking for the truth on this so I don't end up buying headlights that won't fit my car. I thought all year e30 headlights interchanged.

Ellipsoids came on us 88 & 89 yr models can yes you can use them but you would need the pig tails and on here theres a diy.

So e30 headlights will swap between any year mounting wise ? It's just the wireing that needs changed ?

Yes, the all mount the same. Its just the wires, if I recall just put spade connector on the headlight pig tail and insert in those on the body headlight harness. |

And remember, used ellips are 25 year old headlight now. So the output of light may not be that great. Also sent a PM about your sig.

Ellipsoids have different frames to allow for their depth and if you want both beams on at once you need to remove the jumper wire at the pigtails and mod the relay.
