Over Spray on MHW Tail Lights *Help*

I just bought a pair of tail lights on ebay and the guy forgot to mention that there was overspray on one of them.
Anyone know how to remove it without damaging?
Otherwise I am going to have to return them and take a loss on shipping.
    I've already tried PlastX and Meguiars 10 & 17...

Have you tried acetone? or alcohol?

You can use Acetone but in small quantity and to get the over spray off quickly. It evaporates too quick to do any damage anyway. Then you can cut/polish.

Well that didn't work, looks like I will be shipping these back insured.
All I can say is DON'T put even a drop of Acetone on your tail lights.

Wet sanding man. I had red tapped turn signal vinyls on some used tails I got for my car way back. I'd recommend starting with 1000 grit and working your way down from there, then finish it off with a couple coats of wax to keep them looking new.

This is after, but before this they looked horrible. Wish I had a before picture. BTW, this was done by using 600 grit, so start high and see where it gets you. Some over spray shouldn't be much too much to take off.

EDIT: Just saw you're sending them back, nooo!

you could try brake fluid to get it off if you still have them
