    Backup light switch connection

    Hi all,

My backup light is not working since I acquired the car, and I finally figured out why - the backup light swtich and harness are all missing. I have ordered the parts but looks like what I got from fcpeuro and ecstuning does not match what I see in realoem, even I gave them the correct part #.
On top of that - once I got the swtich and the harness, how should I connect them to the presumably existing wire from the backup light to somewhere down below in my gear shift. I tried to lookup documentation and diagrams online but couldn't find any. Bentley manual is not very help in this case. Thanks!

If you don't know how to connect them, how do you know they are missing?

The switch goes in the tranny, and the harness runs from the switch, through the rubber boot around your shifter, and connects to a plastic two prong connector right there.
