Stumped with running light problem!

So, I was led to believe there is a short in my car somewhere that's keeping my passenger side running tail light, the side running lights, and the license plate light from working. The brake lights, turn indicators and hazards work perfectly fine, but it's the running lights that are driving me crazy and keeping me from driving it at night.

I'd appreciate some advice in what I should do. I think I have no choice but to take it to an auto electrician, as I have ZERO experience with auto electric systems.

You may want to take a look at the chassis wiring diagram/ETM. It seems telling that one half of the car isn't working.
