clear replacement for orange flood pieces in cluster?

today i changed my cluster backlights with bright white led bulbs
at the same time i removed the orange plastic pieces that go around
the bulbs and the flood light directors that throw light back onto the outside
    of the gauge faces.

overall it looks really really good. white light comes through the stock
faces very nicely and does not look ricey in the least. the only small complaint i
have is that the needles are now more dimly lit than the rest of the face.

the question is this. do they make or can I make, clear pieces that would
work the same as the stock orange ones to cast light enough the light the
    needles?

if not, which wires in which plug is the power source and ground for the
backlight bulbs? the 194 ones. i think i could wire in my own separate
flood lights and still have it work with the dimmer. (the led bulbs DO work
with the dimmer even though every post here said they would not.)

no one knows at least which wires in the cluster are power and ground for the cluster bulbs that work on the dimmer?

Can you trace back from the bulb housing to figure this out?

not sure. i will try when i get a chance, but it will not be easy. it might not even
be possible seeing as i would have to trace hard lines on the circuit board itself.
you can't always see them either since they cross each other at different depths
        under the board layers.

and if i get it wrong i could blow fuses, burn out circuits, or even start a fire in my dash.

if you want to know which is power and which is ground, you'll want a multimeter. the PCB isn't multiple layer so yes, you can definitely trace them.

            thanks
i will get my spare cluster(a must have of course) out to trace things out
            when i get a chance

I have a spare cluster from an 05 matrix, I should put that it. It's sexy as fuck.
