Power Window Switch Removal?

Hello... Need to change a couple bulbs in the switches. What's best way to remove the switches from center console? I assume disconnect... But then do I pop them up?

Remove shit knob (just yank on it - but don't punch yourself in the face) - remove boot. Then you can reach in a pop them up.

you can just pull the boot up without taking the whole knob off, if you're not feeling like risking knocking yourself out :)

Lucky the boot is not in place yet after having the auto swapped for 5spd.... but Yes, I'll take caution in the future -- thanks!

What bulb goes in there anyway? The 2721 seemed not to fit IIRC

Awesome! Have you replaced them? How do the wire leads install, it's been years since I opened up a switch. Do they just fold over and stuff the bulb in?

Just FYI - for a little bit more trouble you can upgrade to e36 switches (that most all use LED's) - They are much more modern looking, and flow nicely with the interior (not to mention they feel soooooo much better)

If you have some money, you can upgrade to one touch versions of the e36 switches. Some jack-ass on here sells them from time to time. ;)
