    E30 Angel Eye headlights

Hi, just got some used angel eye headlights but i can't figure out how to make them work right. i can get the inner lamps on low beam to work but the outer rings won't work on either high or low beam. both the inner and outer sets of lights do not work simultaneously. the fog lamps won't work either. i have an 87 that uses 2 three prong connectors on the old OEM headlamps. everything is pretty much prewired. if it requires me to cut wires from the original let me know because i don't want to do that. i also don't know where the fuse goes. really confused...Help!

looks like you have to wire them up the same way you would smileys? don't know how true that is though.

You need to splice wires to get them to work. Though it's not the end of the world because a) who cares, and b) they have the same wiring as smileys so you can just swap when you get a set.

You need to tap into your parking lights to get the angel eyes to light up. And then you won't need one of the 3 tabs on the low beams. I think the yellow/white one. But I'm not sure. You def need to keep the brown wire.

As you can see, you're not the first. Also, being young isn't a good reason.

duplicate FTL. 18 or not, just toss them out. If things go well for you, you will hate that you spent good $$ on them in a year or two, If the car lasts that long

I'm going to go against the masses here.
If you like the look of Angel Eyes on an E30, I say go for it!

Who are we to tell you how to modify your car? Build it the way YOU want it, so you can enjoy it.

I would suggest keeping your original lights as spares though, just in case you change your mind.
