    Are these legit?

Hey everyone. These have been on my car for the last 5 years or more. They appear to be euro hella smoked ellipsoids with the cross hairs in the highbeams. Are they real? Also, how do I clean the haze off of them. Night time visibility is horrible. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are original smoked Hella. Is there clear film over them?

No not that I can tell. Seems hazy on the inside.

They are badly pitted and need a polish. The haze is common. You can clean it from the inside with a long enough swab.

You will need to use some type of cleaner/solvent.

Maybe take of the metal sorrounding and see if the glass will come apart. Then clean it and reseal it.

The back projector section of the light will come out of the front section on the low beams. You can then clean them out with mild soap and water. Just make sure they dry out completely before putting back together.

The highs are just a reflector (no internal lens), so you can just remove the bulb, add some soap and water, shake and rinse. Once again, make sure they dry out completely before putting back in. Putting them in the oven at a very low temp will help them dry.

Most of the time, the reflectors deteriorate and get hazy. Sometimes it's just stuff on them, but if they are old, you likely won't get them anywhere near as good as new.
