55W HID Ballast's quality source these days

Looking for a pair, realize they all pretty much come from China but looking for ones that last and don't flicker on occasion.

Not that it matters but it's for an E36, I had a set of DEPO's on the shelf and was tired of driving around blind with US spec 900X series bulbs.

Morimoto kit is about the best you can get without retrofitting some OE.

Below is just the ballast. Their full kit in a about $150

I've heard great things about the Morimoto kits but I've been using the DDM tuning 55w kit for almost 10 years without issue.

Ya DDM Tuning Plus Ballast are good for the money too. Little more than 1/2 cost of Morimoto kit. But I would say if you can swing the Morimoto kit do it.

Let us know what you get!

Thinking what's in it are DDM's but they flicker occasionally They had been sitting around on a shelf for last 5 years so maybe they will clear up, but doubting it. Could be bulbs too.

Occasional flicker is probably either your bulbs moving or a loose connection somewhere.
